90-Minute School Day is three things:

  1. A method to educate all the children K-6 in your home in 90-minutes a day.
  2. A curriculum of education that provides a framework for instilling habits and creating rhythms that work for the whole family.
  3. Consistent coaching to help you tackle challenges that come up along the way.

Are you ready to start your journey of a living education?

Beginning to teach your children at home, whether you’re following along with the virtual learning curriculum your school is offering or starting to homeschool can be isolating. These days, we’re all feeling isolated and spending hours and hours in front of a dry-erase board or correcting worksheets is even more isolating. But teaching your kids at home doesn’t have to be like that.

Are you ready to join a community of parents and caregivers who are developing habits and rhythms that work for their families?

Parents and caregivers are being asked to do the impossible. They’re being asked to work full time, be present and nurturing in their relationships with their children, and manage their children’s schedule and workload. If you’re feeling overwhelmed with Zoom calls, worksheets, emails, and screen time, you aren’t alone. What you’re being asked to do is not possible. 90-Minute School Day is different. It’s a manageable, sustainable approach to at-home schooling.

a framework and system

Having a framework and system to help provide the structure, ideas, and information you need to successfully teach your children at home.

Each week, you’ll get a “Circuit” (curriculum plan and flexible schedule) for the upcoming week.  This will outline and explain the lessons to equip you to teach your children.  This is a family curriculum and works for all ages between K to 6th grade children.

Our curriculum is focused on world history and world cultures.  Children will discover their place in the world and in the world’s timeline.  They will explore how children live in different communities and cultures around the world. Through the books we’ve selected, you’ll “travel” with your children to faraway places. You’ll learn what makes each of us an individual and also see it takes every thread to give dimension to the tapestry of humanity.

In your Circuits, you’ll get a “pro tip” for the adult(s) to practice and incorporate in their routine at  home.

Each week, you’ll get access to your online Circuit for the upcoming week.  These are printable, phone and tablet friendly and include a video explanation.

Each day’s formal learning will take approximately 90 minutes. Each Circuit is broken into 6 parts that we refer to as “pathways.”  These are specific time periods to schedule into your day.  We don’t recommend all 90 minutes straight.  Your children will be more attentive and interested if you spread the learning out a bit throughout the day.

There are books that you’ll need to purchase to complete the Circuits, but these are limited to 5 and inexpensive. All you truly need for education is a library card!  Each Circuit you receive has an associated book list full of suggestions for all ages to utilize in your Circuit studies.

You’ll also receive adaptation suggestions for younger (K-2) and older (5-6) learners, helping you manage teaching multiple children of varying ages and abilities.

Learning is experiential.  Our activity pathway within each Circuit uses simple materials you likely already have. Each activity has been created with flexibility and ease in mind.  The supplies are called out in advance in each week’s “Upcoming” section.
